Ethics framework and anti-plagiarism measures
In the process of publishing articles, the Journal of Church History considers the rules proposed by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics), through the Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors, and the Best Practice guidelines. These international references in terms of good practice are joined by the internal provisions of Babeș-Bolyai University: the AC Resolution 82/4.01.2022 with its annexes, the Senate Resolution nr. 119/23.09.2021 and the BBU CA Resolution 15823/14.11.2022, which aims to avoid plagiarism in publications under the aegis of Babeș-Bolyai University. These measures are taken up and endorsed by the Journal of Church History, with the explicit intention of identifying any attempt at plagiarism and accepting for publication only scientific contributions that fully comply with the rules of good intellectual property practice. To this end, software will be used to detect similarities in all texts received for publication by the editorial staff of the Journal of Church History and any attempt at intellectual fraud will be promptly sanctioned and will lead to the rejection of the texts in question. The editorial team will analyze the texts proposed for publication with the help of the software provided by Babeș-Bolyai University, and the similarity report generated will be carefully examined by the editorial board to see to what extent there are misquoted information, suspicions of plagiarism, and any other attempts at intellectual fraud. Manuscripts with a high percentage of similarity will be rejected from publication and the journal's editorial office will officially inform the institution where the author is affiliated, the academic community and the general public. As basic references for best practice intellectual property rules, the Journal of Church History recommends the following:
